  • Design and lead a brand new discipline for usability, user experience, information architecture, search optimization, and analytics
  • Contribute your bold, creative ideas to shape the next version of our Un-carrier intranet as a mobile-first experience
  • Show off your admirably proficient SharePoint and HTML talents to create sites and pages
  • Bring requirements to life and be the glue between business stakeholders, web development & support teams
  • Apply your expert skills to drive improvements to our external online newsroom, while troubleshooting any emergent issues and taking care of an adjustment here and there
  • Impress us with your ability to deftly manage a few Corp Comms team worksites quickly and efficiently
  • Pitch in to help the team whenever and however you can, because that’s the way we do it around here
  • Have fun and be able to roll with the changes (we move fast and we adapt quickly!)

  • Ability to create strong partnerships with internal teams (IT, Web, etc.) and external vendors (Slalom, TekGroup, etc.)
  • Curiosity about audiences and what drives a great experience for them
  • Great at tracking and quickly reporting key facts – both at an exec summary level and a full-view level
  • Enthusiastic member of the team
  • Proactive and also responsive
  • Strong time management skills

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
It almost goes without saying … but not quite … you’ll need to have experience in these areas:
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint and SharePoint Designer, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience with usability testing and research
  • Expertise with digital analytics and search optimization
  • Experience with web interfaces on large scale projects (4-6 Years)
  • Experience working in a large organization

Managers (at least mine) actually listened to and advocated for their employees. Great pay. Nice perks. Good culture -- people didn't seem miserable.

Cons

As with any big company, can take a while for things to get done. Lots of layers, etc. But definitely moves faster than other big companies I've worked for.

Advice to Management

Don't advance those mid- to senior mgrs who just go through the motions. Do more to keep smart, talented people on board.
