YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
  • Utilizes programming skills to develop (code) and unit-test new system functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for specific applications. Leads vendor calls and manages software defects for those applications. Participates in enhancement requests.
  • Leads and manages reviews (walkthroughs) of technical specifications and program code with other members of the technical team, communicating design, requirements, feature set, functionality and limitations of systems/applications to team.
  • Translates complex business and functional requirements into documented technical and architectural specifications.
  • Responsible for managing and building production deployment packages and implementation plans for scheduled systems enhancements. Applies patches, updates and upgrades for network management applications as required.
  • Responsive UI and cross-browser CSS/HTML/JavaScript issues
  • Agile Methodology programming experience is a plus

Qualifications
Minimum Required
  • Advanced knowledge in the support and development of network management software
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, HTML and XML design and programming
  • Strong knowledge of Kendo UI JQuery widgets and Framework for HTML5/JS (NOT ASP.NET MVC Widgets)
  • Strong knowledge of Bootstrap Responsive Design
  • Strong knowledge of Knockout
  • Strong knowledge of MVC 4 with Razor
  • Strong knowledge of Kendo UI Dataviz
  • Strong knowledge of WCF REST, .Net, C#, javascript
  • Strong knowledge of Web Services using JSON
  • Knowledge of Google Map API is plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • 5-8+ years Software Development experience
  • 5-8+ years Professional experience using 3 or more development languages or tools
  • 5+ years Network Management development experience in a large scale Operations environment
  • 5+ years Designing and developing applications on one RDBMS (Oracle or SQL 2008)
  • 5-8+ years coding experience required - .Net, C#, javascript, etc.

Education
Minimum Required

· Bachelors Degree. Technical Discipline
· In lieu of a degree experience within the telecom industry may be considered

General/Physical Requirements
This position requires mobility (standing, walking, climbing, etc.); the ability to get from one place to another. This position requires bending, turning, twisting of your neck or at the waist. This position requires squatting, crawling, kneeling.

Pros

Laid back, easy going, very relaxed and opportunities for advancement and career enhancement if the individual applies him/herself. They INSIST on a healthy work-life balance. And the CEO is entertaining and has done amazing things for the company.

Cons

They really like to promote from within, which is great, if you're "in", but it can be incredibly difficult to get in. Pay can be a little on the low end of the scale, but benefits are great.

Advice to Management

Make sure that everyone on the teams are pulling their share of the weight; policies come out because of the intermittent 'bad apple'

Cons

Just like other large corporate environments, its not what you know its who you know in order to advance your career further. Pay is fair could be better.

Stop managing and be leaders! Listen to your employees, be proactive in identifying issues rather than ignoring them.
