The Business Intelligence Analyst - Dashboard/Reporting is an individual contributor who is extremely analytical, and thrives on the challenges inherent in dissecting complex business problems. The ideal candidate likes to be hands-on with data, spreadsheets, and models. Analytical dexterity and excellent communication skills are critical to success in this position. The position reports to the Director of Enterprise Core Payments within the Treasury Department at T-Mobile. Working with a Data Analytics and Business team, you will be responsible for designing and developing report solutions that will enable the company to leverage data assets for actionable insight. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and have a passion for data and reporting that translates to an understanding of best practice approaches for delivering on business challenges. Electronic payments experience a plus.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Leverage full range of software platform technologies to design and implement production ready solutions and create BI visualizations
Interact with business owners in the organization to understand current and future requirements
Design, develop, and support interactive visual dashboards and reports
Communicate to all members of the payments team in a concise and effective manner; consolidate and distribute information in a streamlined way
Advise on how data visualizations can be best leveraged to provide business value
Collaborate with the technical team, in any given product development cycle, on data requirements such as data structure, data flow, dependencies, and data mapping in the context of a relational database
Perform other duties as assigned.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, statistics, or a related field (Masters preferred)
2 - 3 years of data analytics and Business Intelligence experience,
2+ years’ experience and
highly proficient in Data Analysis Tools and Report Development (Excel, Access, Tableau, PowerPoint)
2+ years’ experience with SQL, with demonstrated ability to derive insights through efficient SQL queries
Understand data visualization and best practices
Electronic Payments industry experience a plus

As with any big company, can take a while for things to get done. Lots of layers, etc. But definitely moves faster than other big companies I've worked for.

Advice to Management

Don't advance those mid- to senior mgrs who just go through the motions. Do more to keep smart, talented people on board.
