This is a technical management position which provides leadership and direction to professional staff that are responsible for T-Mobile’s network/systems design, deployment, evolution and strategy. They typically manage multiple functional areas. They will align with other cross-functional teams to deliver and support key business initiatives for new roaming services and revenue opportunities.­ They are responsible for managing all business targets set while keeping customer impact in check. They lead a team accountable for roaming data configuration, automation, and audits on all core nodes and any enhanced service.­ They also manage support for all T-Mobile, Partner Brands, and MVNO’s including: customer trouble tickets, faults reported by roaming partners, revenue leak, fraud, and proactive monitoring. ­They perform root-cause analysis, in-depth troubleshooting, and any required roaming data configuration updates.­ The Manager of Roaming Services will provide leadership and expertise for all roaming operations, roaming impact analysis for any existing and new T-Mobile services, and roaming support for all external teams.­ Their goal is to deliver a seamless quality roaming experience for both our subscribers and roaming visitors.
­
Manage operational roaming support for both T-Mobile customers and roaming visitors: trouble ticket resolution, root cause analysis, primary roaming partner support, and investigation of poor testing or reporting results.­ The Roaming Services team will manage all roaming data configurations and make updates on core network nodes when necessary. They will also develop troubleshooting and support processes across Care teams and other cross functional groups.
Enhance T-Mobile's leadership position within North America and worldwide by participating in GSMA working groups.­ Contribute to standards documentation and processes for GSM services that benefit T-Mobile’s roaming operations.
Manage domestic roaming footprint with LAC/RAC/TAC-based roaming and implement tools and processes to insure coverage and prevent errant roaming.­ This includes processing LAC change requests, management of nationwide LAC/TAC/RAC dB, MSs/SGSN, & MME configuration updates, and development of LAC/RAC/TAC monitoring tools.

System Design Development and Approval: Make final approval on network design documents as required for new system(s) and feature(s) deployment. Allocates and leverages resources to implement innovative ideas/processes/projects/services across function. Analyzes options and makes decisions on complex issues. Resolves complex problems that have implications beyond own area.
Adherence to Engineering Best Practices: Ensures that Develop lab and FOA test plans for new major releases and key features are properly approved and executed within GMR standards. Works with Region or Market to ensure best practices (RF, Operations, and Network) are spread across the organization.
Financial/Fiscal Responsibility: Contributes to budget development and implementation, manages resources to ensure final financial objectives are met within own area. Prepares and presents business cases and feasibility analysis to directors and senior leadership team to gain approval of capital expenditures and allocate resources. Processes and tracks POs against quarterly/yearly forecast.
