Accounting Policy Manager
The Accounting Policy Manager is responsible for managing aspects of technical functions including accounting research, policy setting and assessment and design of strategic structuring alternatives. This position has direct responsibility and oversight for ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, and maintaining appropriate controls throughout the above area of responsibility.
Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.
|Monitor US GAAP, International Accounting Standards and DT Group Accounting Policy developments. Interpret guidance, develop and document Company position. Assist in coordinating the process of implementing new standards and accounting changes, including documenting the accounting policy position, to ensure the Company is prepared to comply at the necessary time.|
Must possess high level of understanding of US GAAP and IFRS who advises internal customer groups and routinely participates in leading theory discussion within industry wide technical forums
Act as accounting advisory partner on key T-Mobile strategic transactions cross functionally (e.g., Marketing and Treasury functions), advising on accounting matters spanning the Executive (CAO / CFO) level down to the operational level. Proven communication and presentation skills. Able to lead and influence cross-functional groups.
Proven expertise of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Ability to apply critical thinking in identifying, assessing and resolving accounting issues
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities demanding both rigorous attention to detail and high level comprehensive solutions
Background in Wireless Telecom industry, financial services or combination thereof highly desired.
Prior IFRS accounting experience highly desired
Active CPA license
